Blue-Throated Macaw

Blue-Throated Macaw

The most alarming thing that came to mind when I saw these birds on television is that they are severely endangered because of pet trade and land clearing. Blue Throated Macaw’s are found normally in Central Bolivia, dwelling in the palm trees. Typically, they weigh around 27-30 ounces and measure 33 inches long. Their throats are blue, which explains the name, and the blue variation is continuous with their mandible and cheek areas.
